چکیده

The tubed vortex reducer in the axial compressor can destroy disk cavity, by a thin-walled tube, to reduce total pressure loss. tube may suffer from vibration problems, such as flutter and forced vibration, which are closely related aerodynamic damping. In this paper, energy method influence coefficient used study damping of tube. Based on modal characteristics, steady unsteady flow characteristics first second modes with lower frequencies greater risk selected analysis objects. is calculate different amplitudes, shows that results approximately meet linear assumption accurate. obtained show between adjacent tubes very small, effect inter-tube phase angle be ignored. Finally, it found structural coupling caused support ring mainly reflected two aspects: frequency reduction mode coupling.

Inviscid Compressible Flow in Meridional Plane of an Axial Flow Compressor

In this paper it is attempted to investigate the behavior of an inviscid flow in the meridional plane of an axial flow compressor. For this purpose the 3-D unsteady Euler equations in cylindrical coordinate are averaged in tangential direction. Therefore, the equations are reduced to a 2-D system. By averaging the tangential component of momentum equation, a blade force will result. Axial and r...

Multi-fidelity Method for Aerodynamic Shape Optimisation of Axial Compressor Blades

In turbomachinery optimisation problems, run time is often a critical factor due to high dimensionality of the design search space. This work explores the use of the multi-fidelity method to speed up an aerodynamic optimisation algorithm applied to axial compressor blades. A rotor blade is optimised in a two-stage blade geometry for maximum isentropic efficiency. The single-fidelity reference o...

Aerodynamic Analysis and Three-Dimensional Redesign of a Multi-Stage Axial Flow Compressor

This paper describes the introduction of three-dimension (3-D) blade designs into a 5-stage axial compressor with multi-stage computational fluid dynamic (CFD) methods. Prior to a redesign, a validation study is conducted for the overall performance and flow details based on full-scale test data, proving that the multi-stage CFD applied is a relatively reliable tool for the analysis of the foll...
